My name is Megan! I live in Chicago, Illinois with my husband and 4 dogs. We dog-sit, foster, and I work in the veterinary health industry. Suffice to say, dogs are my life.
I have always felt there was a lack of good gifting options for people whose defining personality trait was their love of dogs, so I set out to fix that. A Candle Because Dogs was born out of this desire to fill that market gap paired with my sarcastic sense of humor. I can't wait to grow with this company and add more and more options to our little shop.

About the 'Because Dogs' Brand
Part of my mission with Because Dogs Supply Co. is to ensure that all products are eco-friendly, health-conscious, and responsibly sourced.
This means candles that are made with ingredients that differ vastly from big store brand candles. Soy wax candles are harder to perfect a formula for and often have more physical imperfections than paraffin wax candles, but the environmental and sourcing factors involved made 100% soy a clear choice for me.
Unlike paraffin wax, which is a by-product of petroleum, soy wax is made from 100% renewable resources and burns longer and cleaner than most alternatives. Our fragrance oils are cruelty-free and phthalate free, and our packaging is largely biodegradable or repurposed material.
In further effort to reduce waste, for local consumers - for every 5 vessels you return (in good condition), you will receive a free 9 oz. candle as thanks.
Another factor driving Because Dogs is our ongoing dedication to non-profits that make the world a better place for humans and animals alike. For this reason, quarterly donations based on sales will be made to 4 different non-profits each year.
